Decree N°52/76
This decree was approved on June 9, 1976 to establish Sonangol U.E.E. - Sociedade Nacional de Combustíveis de Angola, Unidade Empresarial Estatal.

Decree N°19/99
The new "Law of Public Companies" required Sonangol to change its statutes to abide with the law. Thus the Council of Ministries approved the change of our bylaws on August 20, 1999. Sonangol changed from being a company of type U.E.E. to an E.P. (Public Company) as per the requirements of the mentioned law.

Decree 20/99
The Administration Council was established on August 20, 1999 as a result of decree 20/99. Nomination of members to the Administration Council was required to comply with the new company statute. This decree was published in Diário da República, I Série - No 34

Decree 73/02
The Council of Ministers renewed the mandate of all previously appointed members of Sonangol's Administration Council with decree 73/02, published on November 8, 2002 in Diário da República, I Série.

Renewal of mandates for PCA and Vice-President Syanga Abilio and appointment of 3 news Vice-Presidents, for a 3 years period, of Members of the Administration Council. Approved by the Council of Mnisters and published on November 25, 2005 in Diário da República, I Série - No 41.
